A suspenseful video shows a Michigan sheriff deputy leaping into action to help a man who suffered a medical emergency at the wheel.
The video captured the heroic actions of the Macomb County Sheriff's Deputies on Sept. 12 as they pulled off a stunt that you would only see in the movies.
Around 2:18 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to southbound Gratiot Avenue in Mount Clemens after a report of a silver GMC Sierra driving erratically, according to the sheriff's office.
Mount Clemens is about 26 miles north of Detroit, Michigan.
When the deputies were able to locate the vehicle, they tried to signal the driver to stop. However, the driver failed to do so, and the truck continued southbound at 5 mph, authorities said.
Once the deputies pulled alongside the driver, they found a 63-year-old man who was in a daze and unable to comprehend their requests, the sheriff's office said.

'Quick thinking and selfless actions’
After several attempts, the truck driver rolled down his window and briefly hit the brakes, authorities said.
Deputy Nicole Miron, who was on the passenger side of the patrol vehicle, climbed out of the sheriff's SUV and through the open window of the truck as both vehicles continued moving down Gratiot side by side, the video shows.
Authorities said once Deputy Miron was inside the truck, she was able to stop the vehicle and contact a family member to confirm the driver's condition.
Clinton Township Fire Department arrived on the scene and began treating the driver before transporting him to an area hospital for further medical care, authorities said.
"I commend Deputy Miron for putting herself in harm's way to help a citizen in need and protect other drivers on the roadway," Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said in a news release. "Due to her quick thinking and selfless actions, she safely ended what could have been a tragic situation."
